Sarah Maliphant is a professional Coach and Mountain Leader. She has a passion for the outdoors, and loves finding places off the beaten track.
After a life-changing stroll around the Annapurna mountains in 2000, she pottered up ever bigger mountains and started taking small steps towards a career change focussing more on coaching, training and mountains.
Since 2004, she has worked in the field of personal development, specifically in leadership development, improving ease of communication within teams, one to one coaching, and workshops to reduce stress in the workplace. You can find more about Sarah’s work in the corporate and public sectors at www.beacons.co.uk
After cutting her teeth on hills in the Alps and Himalayas, she was part of the team which made several first ascents in the Peruvian Andes in 2005.
Mountains are an integral part of what makes Sarah tick, and she brings the experience of big mountain pacing to her walking and coaching. She is warm, down to earth and has been known to have a bit of a laugh.
Combining her calm and caring hillside manner with her natural, supportive coaching style has been a gradual evolution from a career spanning IT, welding products, weight lifting, personal development and, of course, mountains.
She is very fond of her walking boots and is still putting off buying a new pair.
Sarah is a Certified Coach (ITS), NLP Master Practitioner (ITS), Mountain Leader (Plas y Brenin) and has 9 years experience as a trained First Aider (HSE FAW, and Rescue Emergency Care)

Hello gorgeous, three times in the last week I’ve used you as a shining example of a coach who understands what she gives to her clients. x
Sarah has the ability to make sense of all the chaos that happens in my head by asking THE most pertinant questions so that i can become clear and therefore more forward and onwards without frustration. She is one of those life lines.
